Biante 1/18 AD-81202 HSV W427

Biante Model Cars  are very pleased to present the 1:18 Scale Holden Special Vehicles W427 in the popular Heron White colour scheme.

Any Australian motoring enthusiast would be familiar with the HSV nameplate. Established in 1987, the official performance arm of Holden have been producing wild, spine tingling variants of Holden road cars for almost 30 years now. Perhaps one of the most brutal and stand out HSV’s ever built though would be the incredible W427.

Unveiled by HSV at 2008 Melbourne Motor Show, after months of media and public speculation, the W427 generated an unprecedented amount of hype and excitement from the motoring public. Boasting the largest capacity engine ever built in an Australian production car, it quickly garnered everyones attention. The dry sumped 7.0 litre LS7 pushed out an eye watering 375kw (500 hp) and 640 Nm of torque. Enough to propel the hefty 1874 kg brute to a claimed 0-100 kmh time of 4.7 seconds, and a quarter mile of 13 seconds. At the time it was supercar territory numbers and left a lasting impact.
It wasn’t only the engine that was impressive however. To pull up that warp speed the W427 also required an impressive set of brakes and HSV didn’t skimp. Monster 380mm front discs with 6 piston calipers provided an extra 50% contact over the already impressive GTS front brakes.

Although the performance aspects of the car were unrivalled, the W427 also offered a fantastic array of driver comforts. A unique W427 branded red leather interior combined with all the modern amenities that HSV could possibly fit in 2008. A multi function steering wheel, bluetooth, optional sat nav, climate control, cruise control, rear park assist, automatic headlamps, comprehensive trip computer, and top of the range sound system just to name a few.
All of this didn’t come cheap though. A retail price of $155,000 meant demand for the car was low and the intended build of 427 cars was reduced significantly to only 136, making it an instantly highly sort after classic.

Produced in die-cast with fully opening parts, high details and immaculate finishing, this model will be a limited edition and comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. It’s a must have model for HSV and Australian motoring fans alike.
